CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
An update from the Race At Your Pace team
In light of the recent Coronavirus pandemic we wanted to update you on what we are doing here at Race At Your Pace.
Due to social distancing measures, we are short staffed at the moment and this has unfortunately resulted in a slight delay in packs being received. Please rest assured that we are working hard to get all packs sent out as quickly and as safely as possible, but as you can understand, we need to ensure the safety of all of our team here at Race At Your Pace whilst doing so.
Please bear with us at this time, your pack will be with you soon. Thank you for your understanding.
In these difficult times, as an online business we are currently still able to operate and continue providing our challenges to everyone as normal. Whilst many people like to cover their distances in a group or with friends, and we do usually encourage this, our challenges have always been individual ones. At this time we strongly advise that anyone taking part in a challenge does so in accordance with guidelines provided by the UK government. Current advice is that individuals are able to engage in ‘one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household’ (www.gov.uk).
We know that exercise and staying active provide huge benefits for both our physical and mental health. We want to do what we can to ensure that those who want to keep active, can. From April onwards, we have brought in some lower distance options; on the walk and run challenges a 5 and 10 mile challenge are now available, and the bike challenge now includes a 10 mile distance. We also have a new daily step challenge where participants complete their chosen daily steps, every day of the month. These challenges will start at 1,000 steps a day so everyone can keep motivated and active throughout the month, even if they are inside their homes. All these distances can be included in our annual Loyalty Reward.
Alongside the new measures, we also wanted to do something else to help if we could. So, we will be donating 20% of April entries to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.
If you need to get in touch with us, we can still be reached through the usual channels, but please bear in mind that at this time it may take us a little longer than usual to reply.
Please remember to keep a distance of at least 2 metres from others and stay safe. We wish you and your families all the very best.
